Benjamin Wharton Hammond James (“Ben James”) is the CEO of the B.P. Wharton. Ben James began business life as a Fund Manager with one of Australia’s most
prominent Investment Banks. He had extensive property experience both as a fund manager and directly as a developer including, Seven Legends Estate in Cedar Creek and Cedar Ridge at Eagle Heights, Tamborine.
Ben then moved overseas early in his career, starting a long and successful expatriate career in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia working on a deal to secure drilling rights with Saudi Aramco for a major Australian drilling company, then 4 years in the west bay, Qatar owning and managing a fertiliser business before a 12-year stella career in Mumbai India where he was a major shareholder and the CEO for public company Zero Waste Limited a Joint Venture with the India’s largest business house Tata &Sons.
Ben is a highly accomplished and reputed entrepreneur and corporate professional. Having founded and steered several successful ventures including Zero Waste Agro Organics Limited (‘Zero Waste’), a leading Indian agro-tech company manufacturing high grade hybrid fertilizer. The company was sold in 2011 to Rallis India Limited (which is part of the USD 100 billion Tata Group).
Ben also founded Global Road Technologies India in 2013 and the company is now India’s largest specialised road reclamation & advanced stabilisation company. GRT is also a major supplier of enviro-friendly chemicals for dust & erosion control, soil stabilisation, & water management using patented products.
